Why do organizations (of every type) ask for ten years of experience when hiring DEI professionals? I am seeing this experience requirement more often in job descriptions. This episode explores whether that requirement is fair to ask, given the newness of the DEI role. I also question whether this kind of requirement inadvertently excludes capable professionals from applying for these opportunities.
